- This is a wonderful ancient Roman coin set in 14k gold. The gold chain in the photos is the one I have in stock. They are gorgeous and available in 16 to 22 inch. They are made of 14k gold as well
- The pendant diameter is about 19 mm. See the photo with a quarter for a comparison of its size.

Obverse: draped bust, IVLIA AVGVSTA
Reverse: felicitas standing half-left, holding caduceus and long sceptre. FELICITAS

Mint: 196-211 A.D. (struck under Sept. Severus) Rome Mint

In ancient Roman culture, felicitas (from the Latin adjective felix, "fruitful, blessed, happy, lucky") is a condition of divinely inspired productivity, blessedness, or happiness. Felicitas could encompass both a woman's fertility and a general's luck or good fortune.

INFO
Welcome to my shop! The pendants here are on average 1700 years old. Just to think of what has happened to it in between makes you feel small! The note has a description that makes clear where and when the coin was struck (see more info on this coin below). If we could only tell where it has been in between! All we know is that it has wandered its way around to you or your friend's neck.

Each coin has been carefully crafted with its own custom bezel, securing the coin very well in its place. Wearing a coin and knowing its history provide a unique feel. I think they are a great idea for a gift for people that appreciate such a connection with history. Why wear a replica of a coin when you can have the real deal!

Care
These coins have been through a lot. However, to be sure that the pendant maintains its features, be sure to keep it dry. If it does happen to get wet: it is not a big deal. Just be sure to dry it of completely with some cloth.
